Million Dollar Quartet at PPAC

Winter and Spring Birding, South Kingstown

Saturday  Learn about the basics of birding with local expert, Roger Masse. The series of walks take you around the southern part of RI, through management areas and nature preserves, from coastal ponds and shores to inland woods and rivers in search of some of the many bird species who make their winter home here. 9am-noon. 20th Annual Providence Boat Show

Friday-Sunday  Summon summertime with this huge look at many makes and models of powerboats and sailboats, plus kayaks, canoes and inflatables along with the latest technology, engines, electronics and accessories. And to top that off, there's three full days sport fishing seminars plus and opportunity to win a $1000 West Marine gift card. Movie Night at the Casino Theatre, Newport

Friday  Escape the January doldrums and join the folks at the International Tennis Hall of Fame for for the 1997 historical drama, shot in and around Newport. I Hate Hamlet, Pawtucket

Friday-Sunday  The Community Players, the oldest community theater in Rhode Island, enjoys its 92nd season this year with this Shakespearean romp by Paul Rudnick. Andrew Rally seems to have it all: celebrity and acclaim from his starring role in a hit television series; a rich, beautiful girlfriend; the perfect New York apartment; and the chance to play Hamlet in Central Park. There are, however, a couple of glitches: Andrew's series has been canceled, his girlfriend is still a virgin and he hates "Hamlet". It gets crazier from there.
