5 Weekend Musts: Misquamicut FallFest + More

Misquamicut FallFest lights up the sky over Westerly this weekend, for three whole days.
It's looking it's going to be a great weekend in Rhode Island, and we've got the five best ways to take full advantage of it.

Misquamicut FallFest, Westerly

Friday-Sunday  The beach season never ends in Westerly, and this festival full of music, food, a midway, petting zoo, two classic car shows and more, is here to prove it. The entertainment line-up alone is worth a few days' worth of hanging out. Admission $7, children under 4 free. Parking free. Misquamicut State Beach, Westerly. Fri and Sat 5-11pm, Sun 11am-5pm. Rhode Island Seafood Festival, Providence

Saturday  Keep summer alive, at least on your taste buds, with Rhode Island’s premiere seafood festival. Check out delicious flavors, sample beers and wine, and see artists, and hear live music all day. 11am-6pm, India Point Park, Providence. Free admission. 39th Annual Harvest Fair, Bristol

Conjure up the 18th century this weekend at Coggeshall Farm in Bristol.
Saturday-Sunday  Enjoy this traditional New England autumn fair, complete with demonstrations of historic trades, hands-on children's crafts, unique local vendors, live music and entertainment, and traditional games and competitions for all ages. Wear your flashiest rubber boots for the Muck Boot Fashion Show, prove your strength in the haybale toss, test your endurance in the sawbucking competition, or perfect your aim in the seed spitting contest. This fair has all the flavor of the 18th century, updated for even the staunchest modern types---a uniquely New England experience for all ages. 10am-5pm. $8 adults, $5 seniors and children (6-12), kids 5 and under free.
