Misquamicut FallFest in Westerly

Friday-Sunday  There is so much incredible action packed into this summeresque weekend in Westerly, and it just gets better every year. From epic carnival rides to a sprawling food court, from international music headliners to games and a petting zoo for the little ones, you can't go wrong. Friday 5 pm - 11 pm, Saturday 11 am - 11 pm, Sunday 11 am - 5 pm. Misquamicut State Beach, Westerly. Tickets $7 per day, children under 4 free. On-site parking also free. www.misquamicutfestival.org

Newport Boat Show

Thursday-Sunday  Get near the water this weekend and ogle hundreds of sailboats and powerboats as well as thousands of products and services from both domestic and international exhibitors at the 43rd

Annual Newport International Boat Show. Multiple waterfront facilities along America's Cup Avenue host the Show including Newport Yachting Center, Oldport Marine, Bannister's Wharf and Bowen's Wharf. 36th Annual Rhode Island Heritage Day Festival in Providence

Saturday-Sunday  Another fantastic early fall festival holds court in East Bay this weekend, in postcard-perfect Bristol.
