Feb 20-24 Providence Children’s Museum is putting on special programs and performances all week. Participate in a Wingmasters show Feb 20 and to learn about and meet a glorious golden eagle, a tiny owl, a red-tailed hawk, a majestic falcon and other magnificent birds of prey with licensed raptor rehabilitator Julie Collier. Feb 21st features, Hoopoe, a talented mime guaranteed to make you laugh with silent comedy, magic tricks and balloon wizardry in a funny, imaginative show. Partake in the wonders of paper folding in Paper Caper Feb. 22nd-23rd; design gliders, whirligigs, and more. Providence Children’s Film Festival 2012
Feb 16-21 Downtown Providence is hosting this year’s Providence Children’s Festival. The event will contain a myriad of movies for all ages over the course of six days, as well as workshops and presentations for children, youth and teens. Explore enchanted lands of knights, circus performers, gnomes, tightrope walking, and crocodiles from 17 different feature length films and 44 shorts ranging from international flicks to documentaries, and animated movies. Mardi Gras Camp Week in Providence
Feb 20-24 Give the kids a great time, while they still learn this winter break! Alliance Française de Providence is offering an all-day French camp for kids ages 5 and up. The day includes snacks, drinks, arts & crafts, and games in English and French, all with a fun Mardi Gras theme. All week Head down to the zoo to see animals in their wintery habitats. The zoo is also putting on a fun scavenger hunt for children any time from now until March 2nd.
