Actress Estelle Harris of "Seinfeld" and Voice of Mrs. Potato Head in “Toy Story” Dies at 93

Actress Estelle Harris, who voiced Mrs. Potato Head in “Toy Story” and played George Costanza’s mother on “Seinfeld,” died Saturday of natural causes, her family said. She was 93.

After her children grew up, Harris pursued acting and achieved early success in television commercials. She appeared in 23 spots in one year. One of her most-famous commercials had her energetically singing the praises of Handi-Wrap II

She became a star in her 70s.

Her son, Glen Harris, confirmed her death to Deadline.

“It is with the greatest remorse and sadness to announce that Estelle Harris has passed on this evening at 6:25 pm,” said Harris.

“Her kindness, passion, sensitivity, humor, empathy, and love were practically unrivaled, and she will be terribly missed by all those who knew her.”
