GoLocalProv: Thank you so much for taking the time to talk with us. When it comes to beauty, what are your personal rules?

Tinsley: Thank you so much as well. For me, beauty is about enhancing your own natural beauty and correcting a few flaws along the way. Do not be afraid of makeup, just take the time to get the right colors that work for you and avoid following trends. No one is perfect and we can all use a little help!

GoLocalProv: What are some of your favorite beauty products?

Tinsley: I love a mix of luxury and affordability. I adore Christian Dior’s DiorShow mascara and Dior Addict Ultra Gloss in a variety of pinks (Christian Dior cosmetics available at Nordstrom, Providence Place). I also use Klorane Dry Shampoo (available at Sephora Providence Place) and L’Oreal Elnett Hairspray (available at drugstores) to keep my hair going and I love Johnson & Johnson’s baby cream (available at drug stores) to moisturize my body.

GoLocalProv: When you visit Newport, is there any particular beauty stop you like to make?

Tinsley: I love spending time with friends and family in Newport but I would love some recommendations from the beauty experts at GoLocalProv (we told Tinsley about The Apothecary Newport, Bellevue Beauty Walk, Cosmetic Cosmos and Farmaesthetics!).

GoLocalProv: What is your favorite part of Rhode Island?

Tinsley: I love the town of Newport. The charm and the history are so appealing to me. It is so quaint and I love going down to the wharf. My mom spends her summers up there and I love getting to visit her. I also adore the fall too. When the leaves are turning it is so beautiful. My mom and I always walk on the Cliff Walk and catch up. It is such a pleasant time that we spend together.

GoLocalProv: When it comes to personal style, what are your ideas/philosophies?

I never follow trends. I wear what I like and what looks good on my body. I wear what makes me feel like me and confident. I personally love short dresses with color so I typically wear a lot of those. I think they just work on my body style the best and are fun and girly.

GoLocalProv: You’re always on the go! What are your must-haves in your makeup bag?

Tinsley: I do travel a lot so I have my go-to products on hand all the time. I have foundations and concealers from Bobbi Brown as well as Dior color (Bobbi Brown and Christian Dior are available at Nordstrom and Sephora at Providence Place Mall).
