Bestselling Writers To Attend "An Evening With Authors" in Prov.

Local bestseller Ann Hood as well as fellow bestselling author John Searles will be at the Providence Public Library's "An Evening With Authors" event.
The Providence Public Library will hold its 'An Evening With Authors" event on Tuesday, December 10 from 6:30-9pm, featuring local bestseller Ann Hood and New York Times bestselling author John Searles.

Robin Kall of Reading with Robin will host the event, which will feature conversation with the two authors, as well as a following book sale and signing.

Ann Hood

Ann Hood was born in West Warwick and is the author of the bestselling novels The Obituary Writer, The Red Thread, The Knitting Circle and Somewhere off the Coast of Maine. Her memoir, Comfort: A Journey through Grief, in which she shares her personal story of losing her 5 year old daughter Grace in 2002, was a New York Times Editor's Choice and named one of the top 10 non-fiction books of 2008. Hood served as the editor of Knitting Yarns: Writers on Knitting, a collection of essays about "the transformative power of knitting by 27 extraordinary writers".

John Searles

John Searles is the author of the books like Help For the Haunted, Boy Still Missing, and Strange But True, as well as the Editor-at-Large of Cosmopolitan. His essays have been published in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and other national newspapers and magazines, and he frequently appears as a book critic on The Today Show and The Early Show.
