Big Brothers Big Sisters Announces Two Promotions

Over the years, both Katje and Lori have earned the respect of our board, staff, business partners, and the community, and we look forward to their continued success. The youth of Rhode Island, their families and the community at large count on us for mentoring over the next 50 years and beyond,” said Alison Reuter, president of BBBSOS’ Board of Directors.

She will be responsible for ensuring the mission, strategy and goals of the organization while leading the operational, programmatic, talent management and fund development activities.
Afonseca earned a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Johnson & Wales University in 2003.
She is a resident of North Providence.
Lori Viner

Viner is a 1992 graduate of the University of Rhode Island where she earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration/accounting.
She is a resident of North Kingstown.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State was established as Big Sisters of Rhode Island 50 years ago to provide friendship and guidance to at-risk girls. In 2011, the agency changed its name to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State to more accurately reflect the services it provides to children.
