DIY Beauty: The Three-Minute Manicure

Nails looking a little beat-up after your summer weekend? Need a quick at-home manicure before work?  Dawn Riel, nail artist from the Salon at RGE in Warwick, gives up some quick tips for fabulous fingers in just three minutes!

Minute Number One: Soften. Cuticles tend to get hard, tough, and shredded. Soften them regularly with nail oil or olive oil.

Minute Number Two: Push. Pushing back cuticles, not cutting them, will give the illusion of a longer nail.

Minute Number Three: Buff. Buffing will give you super shiny nails in just one minute!  Buffing also increases circulation for healthier nails.

There you have it, the three-minute manicure!

Got an extra 2 minutes?  Brush on a nail hardener and let dry for one minute.

Got an extra 10 minutes?  Load up with two coats of your favorite color and a fast-acting drying spray.

Have a little more time?  Schedule an appointment with Dawn or any of the pros at RGE Salon, 1775 Bald Hill Rd, Warwick, 821-5273, http://shoprge.com/salon/.
