February Newport Gallery Night Announced

Newport Galleries has announced that Newport Gallery Night will take place from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday, February 12th, 2015, marking the opening of the fifteenth anniversary season. Highlights of February Newport Gallery Night include the Spring Bull Gallery's 23rd Annual Fakes and Forgeries exhibit displaying the work of artists who learned and studied the techniques used by old and modern masters to create their own serious "copies" or tongue-in-cheek interpretations of known work. 

Sheldon Fine Art on Bowen’s Wharf will feature artwork by artist Jeffery Sabol, an artist whose work features boats' reflections on water in stunningly realistic maritime paintings. Finally, the Dorrance H. Hamilton Gallery at Salve Regina University will be opening their 2015 RISCA Fellowship Exhibition Friday, February 13, 2015. The artwork of some of Rhode Island's finest artists and their work will be featured, and Alloy Gallery and C.L. Sherman's Gallery will feature unique jewelry on display and for sale.

16 restaurants are participating featuring a special Newport Gallery Night restaurant discount coupon. Free parking is available at the Gateway Visitors Center and uptown at the Newport Art Museum.
