Festival Ballet Providence’s (FBP) Chatterbox Theatre series will celebrate its 10 year anniversary with a presentation of Three Little Pigs for two straight weekends.

The show will take place on the weekend of March 23-24 and March 30-31 at the Black Box Theatre.

“This story is so classic and fun. I’m hoping to capture imaginations by adding a few twists to bring this tale to the 21st century. Audiences should look out for our hungry, powerful, and protective Mother Wolf,” said Louisa Mejeur, former Festival Ballet Company Cancer and choreographer for the show.

About Mejuer

Mejuer returned to Providence from a recent move to Japan to create this new storybook ballet.

Her first ballet, Living Room Vignettes, debuted at FBP in 2013 and her works since then have been performed across the country, including at the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival in the Berkshires, MA.

As a member of the FBP Company from 2012-2015, Mejuer danced the first Pas De Trois from Balanchine’s Agon, the Conductor in Viktor Plotnikov’s Sharps and Flats, and worked in FBP’s Educational Outreach Program.

After leaving FBP she moved to Virginia and danced with Virginia Ballet Theater and Todd Rosenlieb Modern Dance Company.

There she performed the role of Titania in Bottom’s Dream and danced in Erick Hawkin’s New Moon. In addition to her works for FBP, she has created choreographic works for Bluebird Uncaged, The C Project, the Todd Rosenlieb Dance, and Virginia Ballet Theater Ensembles, as well as The Berkshire Choreography Project.
