Fit for Life: Get a Coach. I did.

Regardless of how you read the definition, if you work out day after day, sweat gallons a week, wake up sore, tired and fatigued, and can't see changes in your physique then what you are doing might make that definition of insanity. If you invest time and effort into doing ANYTHING you should see results fairy quickly and often. I don't care if it is building a business, career, house, or your body. If you invest time and true effort and aren't seeing favorable results it's time to make a change - NOW. I used to see it everyday at the gym. Month after month the same people would lumber in, get on the same machine, work out at the same intensity, and look the same or worse. Or I would see the gym maniacs go charging in, jump on a piece of cardio equipment, go like a bat out of hell for hours, and still look the same day after day, week after week. I would sometimes go up to certain people, and say, "hey, I noticed how hard you work, are you happy with the results you are getting?" Most time I would hear "no, and I don't understand why". That's when I would offer my input, and usually get a big eye opening response from the individual. And, frequently, I would acquire a new client.
So why do we do this to ourselves? If you own a business, and you keep dumping all your money and investing all you time into making it profitable and you still lose money every year, wouldn't you realize that what you are doing is wrong and make a change? Or would you keep going until you go bankrupt? Sadly, sometimes the answer is “yes” to both questions. I can't answer the "why" part of the question, but I have a remedy to fix the negative outcome - HIRE A COACH. Put your ego on a shelf and realize we can't be good at everything. When you enter a field or take on a certain task that you are not completely knowledgeable about, you need to seek guidance. No this is not the easy way out, it’s the smart way. I like to look at it as the most efficient way to do things, too, because our time is our most valuable resource. Once it's spent, it's gone. There are no refunds, and we all get the same limited amount. 24 hours a day. So why waste it.

I have been coaching people for the past 20 years to reach their health and fitness goals. When you work out at Fit Body Boot Camp you’ll get inspirational coaching, using all the steps I have mentioned above. By doing so you will eliminate all the guesswork associated with fitness, and be able to reach your goal in the safest and most efficient way. But while I think I’m the best of the best in coaching people about health and fitness, I knew that when it came to business and systems, I was just as much in need of that type of coach. So I did my research and chose to go with a large national franchise that I could bring to RI, with its best practices in place for me, as a business, so I could focus on doing what I was best at – working with my clients. I have a coaching staff that is accessible and helps motivate me and gives me business direction. Without this, I could waste serious amounts of time and money by guessing or using trial and error tactics. I don't know about you, but at 46 years old, I have neither time nor money to waste, so I am trusting my coaching staff to help me through my journey.
Find the right coach
By my finding the right coach I’ve gained great insight, direction and motivation that is giving me the confidence to live my dream, and reach my goals of helping hundreds of people reach theirs. By making changes, and keeping my mind and eyes open, I feel I have gained more business and marketing sense in the last 6 months than I have in the past 20 years. I know the value of coaching for attaining maximal fitness even more now, too, so my best piece of fitness advice to you is to hire a coach to guide you through your journey, be coach-able, quit wasting time, and stop the insanity. Do this and you, too, will be fired up and motivated to reach your destination.
