Fit for Life: Lessons from Tiger Woods
Tiger Woods PHOTO: Keith Allison/WikipediaI am going to be 100% transparent and confess that I did not write this week’s article. What you are about to read was written by another Fit Body Boot Camp owner from Greenville South Carolina named Daniel Woodrum.
This gentleman always writes great motivational content, goes above and beyond for his members, and is always giving other FBBC owners tips and insight on how to get better. He adds value to other people’s lives, and I want to give him credit for writing this great article.
I have no problem sharing someone else’s work this week because the main reason I write a weekly article is to add value to you, my audience, and inspire you to make positive changes that will in some way improve your current situation, motivate you or at the very least, entertain you.
Personally, this article did all 3 for me, therefore I will share it with you with hopes it has the same effect for you.
I am neither a golf nor a Tiger Woods fan, however, the concept of this article resonates with me, and I think everyone can relate in some way, so enjoy.
Important Lesson from Tiger Woods
Did you hear that roar all the way from Augusta, Georgia?
Two weeks ago was one of those moments where you'll never forget where you were at or who you were with watching Tiger Woods win his 5th Masters.
Perhaps you're not a golf fan.
Perhaps you dislike Tiger Woods (many still do!)
Perhaps you are tired of hearing about it all over social media
I am a Tiger fan. But I'm not here to sell you on being a Tiger fan. I'm here to share how his comeback provides an important lesson in life.
Tiger was on top of the world for many years. He was arguably the biggest sports icon in the entire world. From the outside, it seemed like Tiger had the perfect life.
Until that fateful day in November 2009 when Tiger's life unraveled in front of the entire world.
Let's be real. Tiger caused virtually his entire downfall.
Infidelity. Alcohol abuse. Lies. Ego
These all were a part of his demise.
But then perhaps more damning came Tiger's major back and knee injuries. For the past nearly decade Tiger has been battling some major injuries, to the point where he even questioned if he'd be able to walk again normally.
Everyone counted Tiger out over the following years, saying his career was all but over.
Even Tiger himself mentioned that he seriously questioned his abilities.
But Tiger never gave up hope. And kept working on getting better. Failing forward. And continuing to show up and be consistent.
And then came two weeks ago when Tiger won his first Major in nearly 22 years. It was one of the greatest sports comebacks in history.
As I watched Tiger celebrate his victory with friends and family, I couldn't help but think about how many of us could write and live out our own comeback.
Maybe you've gained 20, 30, 40+ pounds over the years
Maybe an important relationship recently crumbled in your life
Maybe you are going through a career crisis
Maybe on the outside, everything looks good, but on the inside, you feel empty and unloved
Here's the good news. Just like Tiger Woods, it's never ever too late to make a comeback, take the pen back and rewrite your life.
The best part of a comeback is that when you end up making that big leap, it's that much sweeter because you know what it felt like to be at or near rock bottom.
If we can help you make a comeback with your health, wellness or happiness at FBBC please reach out to us.
We'd love to help spark that comeback and sense of euphoria like Tiger Woods experienced at The Masters.
Never Peak. It's Never Too Late. Rewrite Your Next 1, 5, 10+ Years!
Committed To Your Success.
