In November, John Shuster earned his fourth trip to the winter Olympics as a member of the U.S. Olympic Curling team. 

On Friday, Shuster will talk to Molly O’Brien about being the first male American curler to reach the Olympics four times. The Bronze medalist and US National Champion will also discuss training, strategy and what people can expect as Team USA heads to PyeongChang, South Korea for the 2018 Winter Games. 

Bestselling Rhode Island author Jon Land joins LIVE to talk about his new book “Strong To The Bone” the latest in his Caitlin Strong series. The Brown University graduate has written over 25 novels. Land will talk about the travel and research that goes into his writing and his upcoming appearance at the Rhode Island Authors Expo.

David Caprio, President and Chief Executive Officer of Children's Friend, joins LIVE to talk about their Spirit of Giving Holiday Drive. The non-profit is Rhode Island's oldest child welfare organization and a leading provider of child welfare, family support, mental health, and child development services.

Starting at 4 p.m. News Editor Kate Nagle kicks off the hour with news and politics.

Tom's BaoBao, Bayberry Beer Hall, and Yelp PVD will be hosting a fundraiser on Monday for the children of Maniriho Nkinambanzi, who came to the U.S. two years ago, and was the murder victim of domestic violence. 

Natalie Dennen with Bayberry Beer Hall will appear on LIVE to talk about the event, and the effort to get community support to help Nkinambanzi's children. Nkinambanzi and her oldest child, Promise, worked at Tom's BaoBao.

In addition, we’ll catch up with GoLocal Columnist Bob Whitcomb.
