Gallery Z on Federal Hill announced their newest exhibit “European & American Landscapes - Exploring Color, Form, Composition & Light.”

“Art works chosen for this exhibit express how artists capture light, ever-changing, in an inspiring moment of time, and how they utilize nature’s perfect forms and palette to convey a particular impression,” writes Gallery Z in their press release.

The exhibit runs from Thursday, July 4 through Sunday, September 1, with an opening reception on Thursday, July 18 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Artists

New York’s Jeff Pullen will be July’s featured artist.

Pullen often paints construction materials to bring out their feel and “three-dimensionality.”

“My imagery addresses aloneness, loneliness, and the disenfranchisement that is often urban living…These same feelings can often be strangely exciting, alluring, tempting and titillating, becoming even more magnified at night, which is the setting for many of my pieces. Based on the lives and experiences of the viewer, I would like them to supply their own narratives and emotions when viewing my work,” said Pullen.

Other featured artists are Victor Emile Cartier, Albert Khachaderian, Everett Kinstler, Larry Sykes, Mary Mugurdichian and Varaz Samuelian.

Additional landscapes have been chosen from amongst other local, regional and international artists, including Raphael Atoyan, Sandor Bodo, Stephan Brigidi, Lee Chabot, Mikhail Chemyakin, Areg Elibekian, Mark Freedman, Kamsar, Alex Khomsky, Eveline Luppi, Sal Mancini, Angelo Marinosci, Jr., Ian Mohon, Julian Penrose, Sandra DeSano Pezzullo, Ewa Romaszewicz, Amy Ryan, Simon Samsonian, Richard Tasjian, Anthony Tomaselli and Ben Weiss.
