Easton Beach

Rhode Island is the Ocean State for a reason. Instead of watching Netflix on a warm day take the short trip to Newport and spend the day on Easton Beach, Newport’s only ocean beach. After you soak up the sun, make sure you take advantage of Newport’s scenic Cliffwalk, take a walk through town and check out Newport’s little shops.

Roger Williams Park Zoo

Enjoy the outdoors by spending a day at Roger Williams Park Zoo, one of the oldest zoos in the country. This 40 acre park is home to many exciting animals including, snow leopards, reptiles, birds and more. Roger Williams Park Zoo is great for families and kids of all ages. From October to March the zoo is open from 10am – 4am. From April to September the zoo is open from 10am-5pm. General admission adult tickets cost $14.95 and children (ages 3-12) cost $9.95. Water Place Park and Riverwalk

If you are looking for a scenic place to take a stroll in the warm weather, the Water Place Park and the Riverwalk are perfect places to spend a day or an evening in the heart of downtown Providence. The four acre park and scenic riverwalk are especially beautiful during Providence’s famous Waterfire, which begin at the end of May, but this area of Providence is beautiful all year round.

India Point Park

India Point Park is the only location in Providence where the public can enjoy the broad expanse of the bay shoreline. India Point Park’s 3,600 foot shoreline is the perfect spot to ride your bike, enjoy water views and swing in the playground on those warm spring days. For more information, go here.

Boston Common

The Boston Common is the oldest park in the country and was the starting point of the Freedom Trail. So soak up some history and some rays as you spend the day at the Boston Common. Take a walk through the fifty acre park or sit by the Frog Pond, either way you’re sure to enjoy your time in the park. For more details, go here.

Swan Boats

Experience a Boston tradition by taking a ride on the famous swan boats while the weather is warm. These boats have been a part of the Boston tradition for over 130 years. Rides take place on the waters of the Boston Public Garden and mark the beginning of spring. Six Flags New England

If you’re looking for a thrill this spring, Six Flags New England is where you will want to be once the weather is warm. Six Flags New England reopens on April 12th. This amusement park features their new New England SkyScreamer and many more thrilling rides. For those with a weak stomach there are also plenty of family and kid rides as well as a water park. Adventureland

Looking for something to do on the weekends during those warm spring days? Starting in mid-April, you can enjoy all of the attractions at Adventureland Family Fun Park.
