Henry Barnard to Host Locks of Love Cut-a-Thon

If you've got hair to spare, the fifth graders at Rhode Island College's Henry Barnard School want it.

The elementary school students are hosting their first "Hair to Spare" Cut-a-Thon next Monday, June 6, to collect donated hair and spread awareness of hair loss due to various medical conditions. The event is part of Locks of Love's well-known campaign that invites anyone with 10 or more inches of hair to allow it to be trimmed and donated.

Anyone who'd like to join in and donate with the young salonistas can present their tresses between 8:30 and 10:30am at Henry Barnard's Room 176 (refreshments will also be served).
