Mystic Aquarium to Host Earth Day Party

Mystic Aquarium to host Earth Day celebration
Mystic Aquarium is set to host an Earth Day party on their campus and in the community. 

Educators from Mystic Aquarium as well as the Youth Conservation Corps and volunteers will lead hands-on activities highlighting  habitats and conservation issues affecting ecosystems locally and around the world, and most importantly, what can be done to help protect the planet. 

The party will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 22 and April 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All Earth Day activities are free for members and included with Aquarium admission. Registration is not required.

The Party 

On Saturday, the annual Party for the Planet activities include scavenger hunts, hands-on activities and games providing an educational experience aimed at teaching guests practical methods to reducing their personal impact on the environment. 

Activities will also include the second installment of Mystic Aquarium’s Nature Play in the Green programming- Earth Day Boat Building. 

From 10:00 a.m. to Noon, participants will build boats using items scavenged from the Sea School Green. 

On Sunday, the public is invited to join Mystic Aquarium’s team at Bluff Point State Park in Groton for Party by the Coast from 10:00am-2:00pm for a beach clean-up and more.
