NEW: Royal Wedding Update, a Day to Remember, 6:30PM

GoLocalProv Royal Wedding Correspondent Kate Crossland-Page spent the day with revelers at Hyde Park, observing, celebrating, and taking notes and photos for GoLocalProv. Now she takes a moment to review the highlights of the day.

After some effort, we have finally made it home.  It has been an exhilerating day, but all the excitement has left me exhausted.

The women of the wedding looked amazing.  Kate's dress was lovely and she looked simply stunning.  Designed by a British designer, it was completely fitting for a future Queen, as well as flattering and contemporary.  Kate's sister, the Maid of Honour Pippa, also looked beautiful. Some of my friends have actually said they preferred her dress to Kate's, but that's ridiculous!

As always, the Queen looked perfect in yellow - she always gets it right, doesn't she?  And Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, also looked brilliant.  We all agreed her hat was one of the best.

As for the men, Harry and William looked dapper as ever in their Army red.  Harry looked like he was completely loving the entire event from start to finish.

We watched excitedly as the new couple kissed not once, but TWICE (eeeee!) on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, and the crowd went wild, of course.

The main thing that struck me when watching the wedding was how happy and how relaxed everyone looked.  Even Kate and William, who must have been SO nervous looked like they were thoroughly enjoying it, and they were every inch the loving couple.

The vibe was incredible and the crowds were totally immersed in the moment.  A rousing rendition of God Save the Queen noticably made everyone feel proud to be British.
