Newport Art Museum to Host Family-Oriented Program "Wake + Create"

The Newport Art Museum has announced the opening of its family-oriented program “Wake + Create.”

“Join us this Saturday for Wake+Create, the Museum's engaging family-oriented program designed to inspire young minds and satisfy the curiosity of every member of the family,” writes the Newport Art Museum.

The program is designed for ages 6-10 years old and takes place on Saturday, September 21.

Wake + Create

Wake + Create participants will begin by looking at the stained glass work of the American artist John La Farge.

Participants will then discuss how stained glass is made, its 1,000-year history, and then end the morning by designing and creating their own stained glass inspired artworks.
