Over 2.4 Million New Englanders Expected to Travel This Thanksgiving

More than 2.4 million New Englanders are expected to travel over the Thanksgiving holiday
More than 2.4 million New Englanders are expected to travel over the Thanksgiving holiday, according to projections from AAA.

Of the 2.4 million, 2.1 million New Englanders will be traveling by car. Both numbers are the largest locally since 2005.

“Consumers have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season: higher wages, more disposable income and rising levels of household wealth. This is translating into more travelers kicking off the holiday season with a Thanksgiving getaway, building on a positive year for the travel industry,” said Lloyd Albert, AAA Northeast Senior Vice President of Public and Government Affairs.
