Pennfield School to Host Annual Cornucopia Arts Celebration

The Pennfield School is set to host its annual art sale
The Pennfield School announced the schedule for its is set to host its 27th annual Cornucopia Arts Celebration.

The celebration will take place from November 1 to November 3.

The three-day event culminates with a Cornucopia Sale of Fine Arts and Crafts.

Professional artisans will display for sale their works of art including woodworking, jewelry, clothing, pottery, photography, home decor, and other high-quality crafts. Cornucopia is a juried show and artisans are selected to participate based on the quality and uniqueness of their art.

The weekend’s schedule includes:

 Thursday, November 1st, 6:30 p.m. - New this year, The Pennfield School is partnering with NewportFILM for a screening of Inventing Tomorrow at The Casino Theatre, 9 Freebody Street, Newport. Tickets are $15. A question and answer session will follow the film. Tickets may be purchased online.

 Friday, November 2nd, celebrate “A Night of Glitter & Gold” from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at The Newport Art Museum, 76 Bellevue Avenue, Newport. For a donation, attendees can enjoy the evening sampling delicious appetizers, sipping complimentary wine and beer, and socializing with friends while enjoying the museum galleries and artwork by Pennfield students, faculty and alumni artists. Tickets can be purchased in advance online for $40.

The main event, Cornucopia Sale of Fine Arts & Crafts, is Saturday, November 3rd, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission on Saturday is $3.00 for adults and free to children. The Artists' Palette Café will be open all day on Saturday, serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
