Providence Author Elaine Chaika to Speak at Symposium Books on August 8

Elaine Ostrach Chaika
Providence's Elaine Ostrach Chaika will speak at Symposium Books on August 8th at 5 p.m.  to promote her new book "Humans, Dogs and Civilization."

“All dogs are amazing. No other animal has thrown its lot in with another species the way dogs have with humans. They think, they understand, & sympathize. There would be no Beethoven, Rock 'n Roll, Rembrandt, opera, symphonies, or scientists if dogs hadn't taken care of early human," said Chaika about her book.

This book marks Chaika's first book for the general public as her previous six books have been clinical and academic books on linguistics and psychosis.
