Recording Artist Raiche to Perform at Juneteenth Festival 2021

Recording artist Raiche will perform at the upcoming Juneteenth Festival 2021 in Providence.

Her upcoming performance is a reality thanks to Providence's Juan Wilson, Jr., who annually is one of the organizers of #YesPVD — the annual youth summit for students and young adults in their teens and early 20s.

This year’s 3rd JUNETEENTH Festival celebration will be on Saturday, June 19 from noon to 8 PM at the Roger Williams Park Temple of Music.

About Raiche -- and Festival 

This will be Raiche’s first live New England appearance since pre-pandemic.

She will be performing her hit single “Pick A Side” that landed at #2 on the Billboard TOP 10 Urban Charts. Other hits include the songs Complicated, Funeral, and Drive. Raiche, called the “Queen of Pop Soul” along with Genre-Defying Entertainment aka GDE are defining the “New England Sound” in partnership with Atlantic Records, according to Wilson. 

Most recently, Raiche was named an Artist To Watch by both ESSENCE and Billboard and YouTube’s Artist On The Rise.

About Raiche:

With her breezy vocals and refreshingly unique singing style, Raiche has proven herself to be a breath of fresh air. The young artist fuses soulful roots with modern pop to concoct a genuinely distinctive new sound all her own, lit up with confidence, consistency and positivity.

Born and raised in Pittsfield, MA, just two hours outside of Boston, Raiche devoted her energies towards music from an early age, uploading cover videos to YouTube that almost immediately earned her online applause. Her musical dreams almost came to a halt following high school graduation but some encouraging words from her beloved Nana eventually led her to Boston, where she met and began being mentored by DJ Knockout. The local legend soon introduced Raiche to her GDE production team that included Grammy nominated producer araabMUZIK in Providence as well as to award-winning songwriter and producer Prince Charlez (Rihanna, Beyoncé, Usher), who promptly signed the gifted young vocalist to his recently launched Island Prolific imprint at Atlantic Records.
