Rhode Island Wellness Foundation, Inc. Celebrates Grand Opening

The nonprofit organization Rhode Island Wellness Foundation, Inc. celebrated its grand opening in North Providence this week. 

Rhode Island Wellness Foundation, Inc. was created "to develop programs and projects for self-improvement and mental health in the different stages of the human being; the organization promotes values such as respect, solidarity, understanding, acceptance, and peace in society with a multiethnic and multicultural approach."

The celebration, which took place at The Overlook, featured presentations on the organization's mission, vision, program and projects, and included a variety of community leaders.

Founded by Luis and Yaneth Suarez, the organization "considers the current challenges reflected by the social determinants of health, which are particularly concerning in children, adolescents and young people in the state."

"For this reason, we are committed and determined to work together in order to lower these rates and improve the wellbeing and lives of our community," they said.
