Nick’s on Broadway

500 Broadway, Providence

Ask anyone in Providence where to go for Sunday brunch and Nick’s on Broadway will inevitably be one of the answers. The kitchen focuses on locally grown ingredients and puts together seasonally inspired plates. The eggs and poultry is hand-picked, exclusively from Baffoni Farm. Enjoy sides like house-made sausages with your classic eggs benedict – served over a house-baked biscuit, of course – or baked polenta from Rhode Island with corn and Vermont cheddar cheese with two eggs, pea greens, pumpkin seed pesto and parmesan cheese. Hungry yet? Be sure to get there early on the weekends; it’s a popular spot. 

XO Cafe

125 North Main Street, Providence

Sundays from 11:00am-2:30pm, Chef Marty Lyons at XO cooks up a fabulous brunch menu. Their special XO Benedict – braised short ribs, chive potato pancakes, chipotle hollandaise and home fries – is just one option. Pair your meal with a classic Bloody Mary or spice it up with a Bloody Maria – tequila and jalapeño cream cheese stuffed olives. Oh, if you come dressed in your PJs, enjoy a free mimosa or bloody! 

Salted Slate

186 Wayland Ave., Providence

The Salted Slate is an “agri-driven American restaurant with global influences.” They pride themselves on whole animal purchasing, supporting local farms and fishermen. Brunch is served from 9am-3pm. Their menu is unique, with options like the “Chubby Duckling” (2 sunny side Pat’s Pastured duck eggs, herbed confit duck leg and poutine) and Chicken and Waffles. Things not to miss: their artisan cheese plate, charcutarie selections, and their warm bag of doughnuts served only on the weekends. 

Ocean House

1 Bluff Ave, Watch Hill 

f you’re looking for a classic and elegant Sunday brunch, look no further than the Ocean House in Watch Hill. Every Sunday at their Seasons restaurant they put on “Sunday Champagne Jazz Brunch” – brunch is from 8AM-2:30PM, with jazz from 11:300AM-2:30PM. They have a make-your-own Bloody Mary bar, including an extensive list of mixers, spirits and garnishes. Sample menu options include Roast duck breast, Lobster risotto Cakes with poached eggs, a crepe bar and a raw bar. Dress code is resort casual. 

Chapel Grille

3000 Chapel View Boulevard, Cranston

The Chapel Grille in Cranston knows a thing or two about a good brunch. Diners can choose between an “a la carte” menu and a buffet. If ordering a la carte, expect to see entrees like the Filet and Egg – a petite filet of beef, poached egg, sautéed spinach, olive oil hollandaise, garlic bruschetta and home fries. The buffet includes a self-serve station of scrambled eggs and salads as well as chef-attended stations: intercontinental station, omelet station, carving station, and pasta station. For $9.99, enjoy bottomless sangrias, Bloody Marys or  Mimosas from the drink bar. 

El Rancho Grande

311 Plainfield Street, Providence

If you want a little spice in your brunch, check out El Rancho Grande for a Mexican twist. Start the morning off with Mexican hot chocolate or something a little harder like their margaritas (think passion fruit and guava) or some imported Mexican beer. Entrees include things like huevos rancheros and steak and eggs. 

84 Tavern on Canal

15 Canal St, Westerly

If you like eggs but are looking for something a little different, 84 Tavern on Canal is the brunch spot for you. Some of their omelet choices include Bacon Cheeseburger, Macaroni and Cheese, and the Watch Hill Omelet (crab, tomatoes, artichokes and swiss). They also have a good sized cocktail menu especially for brunch. 

Stoneacre Pantry

515 Thames Street, Newport

Stoneacre Pantry opened in 2013 and gets its produce, fish and meat from local farms and fishermen, putting an emphasis on sustainability and the humane treatment of animals.  The charcuterie and cheese selections are delightful and the main dish options – like truffle egg toast with wild mushrooms and arugula or Pork Belly sandwich with house mustard and pickled onions – are pretty great, too. 

Eleven Forty Nine

1149 Division St, East Greenwich

The 1149 in East Greenwich serves brunch every Sunday from 10:00 to 2:00 pm, and features a live jazz guitarist. Their award winning buffet features a variety of soups and salads, plus smoked salmon, baked goods and breakfast pastries.

Breakfast favorites like thick cut French toast made with Portuguese sweet bread, Nimen Ranch breakfast sausage, Apple wood smoked bacon, roasted potato hash with fresh herbs and caramelized onions and handmade Belgium waffles are also served.

Eggs Benedict, a carving station, and an omelet station are also available.

Duck and Bunny

312 Wickenden Street, Providence

The Duck and Bunny refers to itself as a "snuggery," which is "a cozy and comfortable place." It certainly lives up to it's name. Brunch is served EVERY DAY from 10am-4pm and has a menu available which includes fruit, crepes, and interesting omelets.  Our favorite is the New York System Hot Wiener Omelette, which includes hot wieners, meat sauce, cheddar cheese, celery salt & yellow mustard.

Also be sure to check out the Red Velvet Snuggery Cakes, which are topped with chocolate chips and cream cheese drizzle.

Aspire

311 Westminster St, Providence

Aspire Seasonal Kitchen, located in the Hotel Providence downtown, offers a classic selection of brunch foods, including Lobster Eggs Benedict, a Meat Lovers Fritatta, and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast. Flatbread pizzas are also available as well as plenty of lunch choices like crabcakes and a poached pear salad.

Paragon

234 Thayer Street, Providence

The Paragon's brunch buffet offers a carving station with prime rib and ham, a made to order omelet station, a pasta station with homemade sauces, eggs benedict, and house made chicken cacciatore.

Traditional items like bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage and home fries are also available. Bloody Marys and mimosas are also available.

Crazy Burger

144 Boon St, Narragansett

Breakfast served until 4pm! Crazy Burger has an awesome "Name Your Own Omelet" offering - where you can get an omelet made up of pretty much anything - and they have great vegan and wheat free options as well. Plus pancakes, waffles, and french toast, quesadillas, and crepes - including our favorite stuffed spinach crepes.

You can BYOB, or have a smoothie, or signature "create your own flavor" combo, like apple-celery, pear-ginger-apple, or apple-kale-pineapple-cilantro.

Treehouse Tavern

1094 Centerville Road, Warwick

The Treehouse Tavern Sunday Brunch is available from 8am-2pm. Homemade corned beef hash is a favorite here, along with several egg benedict selections, including the amazing Belgian benedict, featuring chopped bacon in a Belgian waffle topped with two poached eggs and hollandaise served with rosemary potato.

The crepes are amazing, and they have a wide array of brunch cocktails to sample, too.

The Hungry Monkey

124 Broadway, Newport

The Hungry Monkey has some amazing breakfast specialties - the southern style biscuits and gravy are delicious.

Make sure to check out the Reuben Omelet, which is 3 eggs, corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese and 1,000 Island served with home fries and toast. Another favorite is the "Spicy Monkey," which is a three-scrambled egg burrito with sausage, salsa and cheese with home fries.
