Discovery Channel's Shark Week is nearly here, and starting Monday, we've got a week's worth of local stories to circle your Shark Week watching like a bunch of makos.

We'll bring you stories from RI's premier shark specialists, a history of shark attacks in local waters, an up-close look at the state's premier shark action filmmaker (and protector of the species), and reports from swimming with sharks right off the Rhode Island shore.

Which means, maybe, that you might need a bigger boat.
