RI-Shot 'Missing William' to Premiere Tonight at Cable Car Cinema
Set in Rhode Island, the story follows Abby (Courtney Ford), a 30-something artist who caring for her husband William after he's tragically injured in a bar fight. As she attempts to coax him back to health, James (Brandon Routh), her childhood sweetheart and unrequited love, attempts to coax her back into living life again herself.
The film was directed by Kenn MacRae and co-stars Spencer Grammer (Greek) and Reid Scott (Veep). Interestingly, Ford (True Blood, Parenthood) and Routh (Superman, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) are married in real life.

Despite being released nationwide today, Missing William was actually shot in Rhode Island over three years ago. "The three years since wrapping on principle photography has taken us on a bit of a wild ride,” McKinnon told GoLocal. “We always believed we had a special film and so we wanted to make sure we got it the release it deserved.”
Notwithstanding the three-year wait, McKinnon told GoLocal that the Missing William team “couldn’t be happier” at the moment. “We are getting a national theatrical release in 12 major cities across the US and a Video On Demand release in over 120 million homes,” he added.
