See Which Providence Bakery Has Hocus Pocus Spirit - and Where Movie Filmed in RI Thursday

Hocus Pocus 2 is now officially filming in Rhode Island, and if you are a fan, you can celebrate — with cupcakes. 

As GoLocal reported this week, movie crews were at Moses Brown School as well as La Salle Academy in Providence for the movie starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Park, and Kathy Najimy. 

And LaSalle Bakery — just a stone’s throw from the school — is featuring the film’s three main stars, as well as the spellbook featured in the original Hocus Pocus — on baked goods.

Linda Williams shared photos after picking up a package of the sweet treats on Thursday. 

“I’m a big fan,” said Williams of the Disney film. “Both of my boys went to La Salle, David ’12 and Noah ’14. We were at LaSalle Bakery all the time,” she added.

According to LaSalle Bakery, the cupcakes are available through Halloween, and are for orders only -- and require 24-hour notice. 

Packs come with three vanilla and three chocolate cupcakes.

 

Filming Thursday 

In June, GoLocal reported that Hocus Pocus 2 crews were busy at Chase Farms in Lincoln building a set for the movie. 

On Thursday, GoLocal found the latest filming location — India Point. 

Crews were lined up on India Street in Providence, from Bridge Street to the new Narragansett brewery. 

It has been a busy stretch for the waterfront area -- last week, the remains of the former Shooters nightclub were demolished.
