Last week we reported on the impending arrival of the Boston Celtics, and Monday night a few team members were spotted at 22 Portside in Newport, the al fresco annex of 22 Bowen’s Wine Bar & Grille … Seen at the opening night of FirstWorks 2010’s presentation of Pilobolus at Providence Performing Arts Center was Pulitzer-Prize-winning graphic novelist Art Spiegelman, who collaborated with the company to create the performance, "Hapless Hooligan in ‘Still Moving’” … Don’t you just love when celebs descend on the Ocean State and it’s one of “those” weekends- blue skies, cool temps and an “only-in-Rhode-Island” view? Well, for nearly half a dozen
culinary luminaries, Saturday’s perfection welcomed home Portsmouth’s native son Chef Chris Cosentino, as seen on the Food Network’s Iron Chef America and The Next Iron Chef, for the Newport Mansions Food & Wine Festival. Joining him were chefs, cooks and authors Rachel Allen of Rachel Allen: Bake! on the Cooking Channel; Nick Stellino of Cooking with Friends, Cucina Amore, Nick Stellino's Family Kitchen and the PBS specials, Nick Stellino's Dinner Party and Nick Stellino: Food, Love & Family; and Emmy Award-winning host of the national public television series Christina Cooks, Christina Pirello
