Stop & Shop Donates 1,000 Turkeys to RI Food Bank

“The turkeys are a terrific centerpiece to a holiday meal, and they’re also a great source of protein,” said Andrew Schiff, Chief Executive Officer of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. “Now we need the community to pitch in and help us finish setting the table with healthy foods that will create a balanced meal every day of the month – not just on Thanksgiving.”
Stop & Shop plans to donate a total of 21,000 turkeys to local food banks throughout the Northeast before Thanksgiving.
