The collection came from audience members during its annual production of A Christmas Carol.

More than 35,000 audience members attended this year’s 40th-anniversary production of A Christmas Carol, which was the highest-grossing production in all of Trinity Rep’s 54-year history.

The production featured Resident Acting Company member Joe Wilson, Jr. in the role of Ebenezer Scrooge and 18 different community non-profit groups were featured on stage over the course of the run, providing them the opportunity to perform alongside professional actors and showcase their organizations’ missions.
