VIDEO: Kara McKee Advances on “The Voice” With “Team Legend”

Rhode Island Kara McKee has advanced past the first round of auditions on “The Voice” on Monday — and is now pairing up with musical legend John Legend for her next round. 

In September, GoLocal was first to report that McKee— the daughter of Governor Dan McKee — would be performing on the show.

On Monday, she sang Joni Mitchell’s “Woodstock.” 

“It’s crazy, because I’ve actually covered that song, too,” said Legend. “I thought your take on it was so cool.”

“It’s exactly right I turned for her, Blake,” quipped Legend, after country star Blake Legend had tried to deter McKee.
