"Zeus is illegal to privately own in Rhode Island and the surrounding states. Additionally, Zeus does have a medical condition making him prone to seizures which is managed by medication," Potter League had previously announced. "He has lived with other dogs, cats, and kids, and most of his life has been that of an indoor dog, which makes sanctuary placement unsuitable."
"There are a handful of states that he is legal to own, and we really need your help to reach those states," Potter had continued. "Vermont & New Jersey are the closest to us, but that is not to preclude other states further away that allow hybrids to be privately owned."
On Saturday, Potter League announced Zeus had found his fur-ever home.
"Thank you to everyone who shared Zeus far and wide! We are truly humbled and moved by the support and the love everyone showed Zeus the last few weeks. We've said it before, but to this community that lifts us, that cheers us on, that enriches our lives – thank you. And we promise once the DNA comes back, we will let you all know the results. Happiest of Tails to Zeus!
Potter League had previously stated they had confirmation from the previous owner and the breeder that Zeus "is in fact 1/3 wolf."
