WaterFire Goes Live with RI Philharmonic
For the first time, the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra will perform in concert with the lighting of the fires, beginning at 9pm (the fires light at sunset). The orchestra will be based at Turk's Head Plaza, and dancers from the Festival Ballet Providence will perform as well.
"This extraordinary collaboration between the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra and WaterFire is a wonderful example of the creative assets that are constantly engaged in the City of Providence," said Providence Mayor David Cicilline. "[This] performance promises to be a wonderful evening for residents and visitors."
