On Wednesday’s The Taste, chefs from East Greenwich restaurants will join Rick Simone in the Navigant Credit Union Broadcast Center talking about their backgrounds and what makes their kitchens special.

Chef Johnny Granata's career came full circle, he once worked at the East Greenwich Post Office Cafe, and now he owns Johnny Granata’s Restaurant and Bar which is in the coveted old post office location on Main Street. Granata will talk about his 20 years of culinary experience and creating the perfect ambiance. 

Chef Joe Caldarone has been in the kitchen since he was a teenager. The chef at Besos Kitchen and Cocktails will highlight new menu creations recently launched and the commitment to procuring local goods sustainable He’ll discuss how the restaurant and employees give back to the community.

Chef Jeffrey Donovan of Finn's Harborside will talk about the seasonality of East Greenwich harborside dining and highlight new event space they offer.

Christian Palmaz, president of Palmaz Vineyards located in Napa, California will talk to Simone about the devastating impact wildfires have had on Napa Valley. They’ll talk about what actions Palmaz is taking to help Napa recover. 

At 4PM on GoLocal LIVE Ray Lavoie, Executive Director of Blackstone Community Health Care, will  join GoLocal News Editor Kate Nagle to talk about opportunities following the closure of Memorial Hospital.

Lavoie will discuss the new Neighborhood Health Station, the first of its kind in the country, opening in Central Falls in 2018 to serve the community.
