Well Read: Reading With Robin announces Book Club 411 with HUGE Giveaway!

Who is in a book club? Who’s in more than one? Well, here’s a new one for you to join. Reading With Robin’s Book Club 411 will give you all the info on today’s biggest books. All of my years on-air and hosting author events have allowed me to develop close relationships with many of your favorite authors. I am taking that to the next level by sharing my favorites with you. BookClub 411 is a natural extension of Reading With Robin radio allowing me to connect readers and writers in a more intimate setting. I love sharing the books I enjoy and I love gathering readers.

My first pick is NY Times bestselling author Jane Green’s Saving Grace. Jane is the author of favorites such as: Tempting Fate, The Beach House Promises To Keep and Jemima J. I chose Saving Grace for several reasons: I was immediately drawn to the cast of characters, the pace of the storyline, Jane’s compelling storytelling and the idea of listening to that little voice inside of us.  What happens when we ignore that voice and how will the story play out? Read Saving Grace and we’ll talk!

I am giving away TEN copies for my Well-Read audience. To win please go to the Facebook page  to join BKClub411, then send me an email  to let me know you read about this in Well-Read. Winners will be selected at random and announced on Wed. Feb 11th so there is plenty of time to get your book and read along with us. If you’re not on Facebook this is a great reason to join in. This is the perfect way to connect with the local book community and beyond and to combine the radio audience with the online audience.  One big book club!

Jane Green will join us “live” on Thursday, February 26th from 4-7p.m. eastern. You will be able to post questions about the book and Jane will answer them in that time period. Unlike some book clubs I am making it known that there WILL be spoilers. Readers may ask anything they’d like to about plot, characters and the ending.

I am adding a local (RI) spin to BookClub 411. In addition to the online Facebook meet-up, I will be gathering those who would like to participate in person. Each month I’ll choose a different Panera location and will be there during the 4-7 p.m. time frame so you can drop in and have a cup of coffee with me (it’s on me!) We’ll chat about the book and you can participate online as well.

FAQ:

Why do I want to join another book club?

The more the merrier. If you like the book we’ve chosen or have already read it, it’s another place to join in a discussion. If you’re a “book-person” there can never be too much of that.

Do I have to quit my present book club?

That’s up to you. If you’ve been thinking of making a move this just might be the time to break away. I hear from many readers whose book clubs no longer serve them but they see no way out. If you are happy with the book club(s) you are in stay put. You can also encourage your book club(s) to read along with us once in a while and make the BookClub 411 selection your club’s pick.

What happens if I don’t finish the book?

There are no judgments in RWR’s BookClub 411. You just might not want to join in the Facebook discussion at the end of the month.

Will you be offended if I don’t enjoy the selection?

If I were offended every time someone didn’t like one of my picks, I wouldn’t have lasted in the book world as long as I have. No offense will be taken.

RWR’s Book Club 411 is truly a no-pressure book club. Each month I will announce the title that I am highlighting. You can pop in and out as you like. There will be giveaways and incentives for bringing in new club members. I hope you’ll join us!

Remember to email me for your chance at one of the ten copies of Saving Grace. Happy Reading!
