The Wilbury Theatre in Providence is presenting Becci Davis' "Whose Name Was Writ in Water" immersive virtual reality experience this weekend, broadcast live.

The performance features dual narratives woven together; the interrogation of history through an imagined conversation with the artist’s enslaved 4th great-grandmother and a rite of passage for her teenage son. Water serves as the device that connects them through time and space.
