RI-Israel Collaborative’s Nevel Discusses Upcoming Innovation Events in June on LIVE

Rhode Island-Israel Collaborative (RIIC) President and CEO Avi Nevel joined GoLocalProv News Editor Kate Nagle on GoLocal LIVE where he spoke to three events taking place in Rhode Island in June. 

On Wednesday, June 5 at Brown-RISD Hillel, RIIC will host “Israeli Women Leading Innovation” with Dana Garvish Fridman, Vice President for Entrepreneurship at Ben-Gurion University.  The event will be moderated by Ella Hood, board member of the RIIC, and opening remarks will be by State Representative and  Deputy Majority Leader. The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University will host “New Israeli Innovation in Digital Health — Shaping the Future of Healthcare” on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from 9 A.M. to Noon at 22 Richmond Street in Providence. 

The event will be moderated by Megan L. Ranney MD MPH, Director of the Emergency Digital Health Innovation Program and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Brown University. Amy Zimmerman, MPH, State HIT Coordinator at the RI Executive Offices of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) will be a guest panelist.

RIIC will also take part in the upcoming RI Bar Association annual meeting on taking place on Thursday, June 13 with the segment “Start-Ups 101: Legal Strategies and Experiences from Israel” — for more information go here
