Providence Preservation Society's Amirault Previews Winter Bash on LIVE

For over sixty years, PPS has worked to fight demolition and destruction of historic houses and buildings in Providence, and promote restoration of the city's historic buildings.
Cait Amirault, a board trustee of the society, joined GoLocal LIVE’s Chelsea Guay to discuss this year's bash, the mission of the organization, as well as the annual list of Providence's "Most Endangered Properties," citing that "the goal of the list is to create awareness about the historic properties and to encourage restoration."
Proof of the impact of the Most Endangered Properties list, this year's event will be held at the Bomes Theatre in Providence, which formerly held a place on the MEP list five times. In 2018, the building underwent a complete rehabilitation under local developer Fernando Tavares.
Event chairs Christina Robbio and Michael Plourde are promising a red carpet experience at this year's event. The PPS Winter Bash will be held this Saturday, February 25 at 8 pm at the Bomes Theatre at 1017 Broad Street. For more information or to purchase tickets, click here.
