Commerce’s Pryor Says RI’s Economy is Hitting Record Levels - Talks PawSox, GE, Superman, and More
Pryor trumpeted that a record number of Rhode Islanders are working — more than 500,000 and that new records have been set each of the last four months.
He admitted that the economic recovery is not always even and that more needs to be done in job training and education.
In a sweeping interview, Pryor discussed everything from the potential to make Rhode Island a hub for Blockchain — an outcome of a major conference held in Rhode Island this past summer.
That event was hosted by G Media, Alchemist, Paolino Properties, and GoLocalProv in conjunction with RI Commerce Corporation.
Pryor also discussed the changing workforce and the implications of the future of the Providence commercial real estate market.
The other successes flagged by Pryor is another successful tourism year and the impact of the Volvo race on the RI economy.
