So rather than being in their shelves for Easter, we shipped our first order in early September, and the second order is actually going out this week.”
“We’re also selling a classic biscotti, and now New England biscotti — a Johnnycake cranberry,” she said. “We moved from Hope & Main into a copacker who also makes biscotti.”
Belicchi said, however, she got to where she is with the help of food incubator Hope & Main. “I still pay all my dues and support them.”
5 Years In
“I started this business in 2015 — so I have put five years of not quite sure where I was headed, but knowing what my goals were and where I wanted to go and I just never stopped,” she said.
I’ve worked really hard — I’d never be here without Hope and Main along with Farm Fresh made a huge contribution to Rhode Island during the pandemic — they offered a buy one get one, for a dinner from H&M and giving one to someone who was food insecure,” she said, recognizing Hope & Main’s contributions.
As for 2021, Bellicchi is forging ahead.
“I have partnered with the Freshly Baked company — we’ll be rolling out ‘cannibiscotti” in 2021,” she said, of breaking into the CBD market.
