Garden Grille's Yaffe Discusses the Recent Renovations on LIVE

Rob Yaffe, Garden Grille
GoLocalProv’s Laura Afonso speaks with Rob Yaffe, owner of the beloved vegetarian restaurant, Garden Grille.

The meat-free restaurant is a not-so-hidden gem located at the tail end of Black Stone Boulevard, in Pawtucket. Providing customers a smattering of healthy, creative dishes for over twenty-two years, Garden Grille as become a staple in the vegetarian community.

“We have something on the menu for everyone, not just vegetarians. We consider the squash quesadilla the gateway food for meat eaters” says Yaffe.  Adored by vegans, vegetarians, and meat lovers alike, the menu has something to offer for every palate.

Partnering with local farms such as Aquidneck Honey, Narragansett Creamery, and Ward’s Berry Farm, Garden Grille takes the “farm-to-table” approach in order to keep business in Rhode Island, and contribute to a sustainable state of the community.

Practicing “Mindful Mondays”, Garden Grille donates 5% of their sales to local community action programs. “The roots of this restaurant are in community involvement, so we feel really good about giving back”, says Yaffe.

In recent news, the restaurant underwent major renovations after being closed for over six weeks. An expansion of their kitchen space allows for higher efficiency and expedited production. The dining room also received a face-lift, and is now bright and refreshing, along with the bar space being rearranged.

Along with the space updates come new additions to the menu, such as roasted root tacos and a poached pear salad. The doors opened back to the public on Tuesday, October 23, and will return to normal business hours.
