LIVE: Cummings Takes Super Plunge, Raising Awareness For Special Olympics RI

Jim Cummings
Jim Cummings, a long time Special Olympics Rhode Island volunteer, joined LIVE to talk about the SORI Super Plunge Weekend at Salty Brine State Beach in Narragansett.

He, along with 20 other Super Plungers, will jump into the cold waters once per hour for a 24 hour period starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24.

Cummings says the weekend consists of three different plunge events that are all working toward one common goal of raising awareness and raising money to benefit the 3,500 SORI athletes.

The events include the Unified Champion Schools Plunge, the Torch Run Super Plunge, and the Torch Run Plunge.
