“The Ripple Effect” RIDOH's Dr. Alexander-Scott Calls Impaired Driving A Public Health Epidemic
She appeared on LIVE to talk about "The Ripple Effect," the Rhode Island Department of Transportation's public awareness campaign on impaired driving.
“Rhode Island, unfortunately, is one of the states with the highest rates of alcohol-related motor vehicle crashes both in 2015 and in 2016” Alexander-Scott says. She continued that other substances that including opioids, marijuana, and over-the-counter medication contribute to impaired driving.
She says we all have an opportunity to do something about and take action to prevent motor vehicle crashes.
