LIVE: San Miguel School Continues To See Demand

Vangy Auclair
While school choice is on the rise, and many faith base schools enrollment is on the decline, Vangy Auclair, Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships at the San Miguel School says they are seeing the opposite. Auclair says there is a great need for students from disadvantaged backgrounds and San Miguel School in Providence can provide that.

San Miguel School is not tuition-driven. Now serving 64 boys in fifth through eighth grade, San Miguel School caters to young men who have faced challenging circumstances, such as poverty, gangs and bullying.

Auclair says success rate has been high, 100% of graduating eighth graders have gone on to high school in Rhode Island and over long term close to 90% of San Miguel students completed high school.

San Miguel School holds its 12th Annual Gala and Miguel Medal Ceremony on Friday, April 7 at the Pawtucket Armory Arts Center in Pawtucket. Event proceeds will benefit student scholarship programs.
