North Kingstown's Sullivan Meets SNL Writer Jost Through Wish Come True
“Since I’d been a kid, it’s been my dream to work there,” Sullivan says.
The trip was provided by the Rhode Island wish-granting organization, A Wish Come True.
Sullivan’s wish was to shadow her favorite writer and Weekend Update host Colin Jost. She ended up getting to shadow Jost, talk with writers, stand on the iconic SNL stage, and watch actor James Franco host a show.
Sullivan, has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder which affects collagen. Along with the disorder, she has chronic pain.
The Sacred Heart University sophomore says often times a wish isn’t just about one day, it can help young people through their pain and difficult times by giving them something to look forward to, and memories to look back on.
A Wish Come True’s 14th Polar Plunge is January 1 at Easton’s Beach in Newport.
