Jamestown Police Department Chief Ed Mello appeared on GoLocal LIVE as part of the ongoing feature of "The Ripple Effect," the Rhode Island Department of Transportation's campaign to bring awareness to the impact of impaired driving.

Mello spoke to the impact that the death of Ryan Bourque, the 24-year-old Jamestown Police Officer who had just joined the force when he was killed by a drunk driver, has had not just on his family, the department, but community at large.
