Sasse Says Fung Faces Many Challenges in Race Against Raimondo

Gary Sasse
Gary Sasse, head of the Hassenfeld Institute at Bryant University, joined GoLocal LIVE’s Business Monday and discussed everything from national debt to the Rhode Island economy.

Sasse, who served as Director of Administration for Republican Governor Don Carcieri, says that GOP gubernatorial candidate Allan Fung faces a slew of challenges in trying to topple sitting Governor Gina Raimondo.

Sasse outlined Raimondo’s advantages which include her fundraising prowess, her organization’s GOTV, and the RI economy.

In addition, Sasse says Raimondo will be able to consolidate her more progressive opponent Matt Brown’s base.

To date, Fung’s GOP challenger, House Minority Leader Patricia Morgan, is yet to endorse him.
