The Hottest Coach in Rhode Island - Cosgrove’s RIC Team Plays in Sweet Sixteen
Cosgrove's Rhode Island College (RIC )women’s basketball team is now playing in the NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen — RIC will face the University of Chicago at Babson College on Friday, March 10, at 5:30 PM.
This season her team is 26-3 and a remarkable 60-9 in the past three seasons.

Cosgrove joined GoLocal LIVE and talked about how her team has turned into a powerhouse, even after losing two games early.
"I think I'm playing those tough opponents early on and some of the toughest opponents still standing are in New England. It really helped us figure out our identity. We didn't really click until a bit after and I think those fueled us. I think the most exciting part about everything right now is that we knew we could make a statement," said Cosgrove.
Chicago Is Ranked #10 - Win and It's on to Elite Eight on Saturday
Chicago, which is ranked No. 10 in the nation, reached the Round of 16 by defeating Northwestern (Minn.), 63-48, in the first round on March 3 and then beat Whitman, 56-54, on March 4.
"It's crazy. I'm trying to have the ladies understand the magnitude of what they've done and really treasure it because obviously, we've made history here at the school. Getting this far -- I still don't know if it's truly hit them but I think they now see it," said Cosgrove.
The winner of the RIC vs. Chicago game will advance to the Elite 8 to face the winner of Marietta (Ohio) and host Babson on Saturday, March 11.
The winner of that game will advance to the Div. III Final Four.
